Ammy Mwasambu

Ammy Mwasambu, currently a junior at West Virginia State University, is pursuing a major in applied mathematics and a minor in health planning. Originating from Kilifi, Kenya, and supported by a family with two older brothers, Ammy stands out not only for academic pursuits but also for a vibrant passion for sports. As a talented striker on the university’s soccer team and a dedicated sprinter on the track team, sports serve as Ammy’s escape from the rigors of academic life.

Ammy’s academic and career ambitions are directed towards earning a master’s degree in epidemiology. With a profound interest in combining a love for mathematics with a commitment to public health, Ammy aspires to work as an epidemiological modeler.
